Peace & Cohesion
The objective of this pillar is to create awareness and build community’s capacities and skills in Mombasa County to come up with ways of mitigating conflicts for sustainable peace. This is done through awareness raising, community sensitizations, community dialogues, research and capacity development etc. with a view of creating a culture of peace
Youth & Leadership
Young people being at the centre stage of the organization, this pillar aims at building Mombasa youth capacities to identify and harness their knowledge to become future leaders. This is through capacity building, exchange programs and facilitating &providing safe spaces to explore their capabilities.
Education
In order to achieve access to quality education by children in Mombasa County and contribute to addressing social barriers to education, this pillar aims at developing programs that advocate for children access to education. This is done through partnerships with local schools and actors, sensitization, dialogues, capacity building, research and documentation etc.
Ending Gender Based Violence
This pillar aims at developing programs that contribute to ending forms of violence against both men and women in Mombasa County through lobbying and advocacy, sensitizations, collaboration & partnerships and enhancing community knowledge
About Us
WeRise Africa is a local organization based in Mombasa County working to harnessing the power of local communities to achieve sustainable development. In order to achieve this, WeRise Africa develops and initiates interventions on program areas such as: peace and cohesion, ending forms of gender violence, youth and leadership and education.
